In the Teams desktop app go to Settings > Devices and select "Make a test call". A bot asks you to record a short message, plays it back and shows which devices were used. It is not available in every Teams version or on the web; this page works anywhere.
Close other apps that use the camera, check Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Camera allows desktop apps, then fully quit and restart Teams. In Teams on the web, allow the camera in site settings.
Teams keeps its own device choice. Open Settings > Devices and select the headset for both speaker and microphone. Some headsets appear twice (for example "Headset" and "Hands-Free"); choose the non-hands-free entry for better sound.
