How it works:

This test uses your browser's built-in audio input API to access your microphone. The bars show real-time audio levels as you speak.

Troubleshooting:

• Make sure your microphone is plugged in and selected as the default device
• Check that your browser has permission to access the microphone
• If using Chrome, click the camera icon in the address bar to manage permissions
• Try closing other apps that might be using your microphone
• If you see multiple microphones, try each one to find the correct device
• If bars stay red, speak louder or move closer to the mic

How it works:

This test accesses your camera through your browser's getUserMedia ?. The preview is mirrored by default (like a mirror) for a more natural viewing experience.

Troubleshooting:

• Ensure your camera is connected and not covered

How it works:

This test generates a pure 261Hz tone (middle C note) using the Web Audio API ?. It uses stereo panning to test left, right, or both speakers separately.

Troubleshooting:

• Make sure your system volume is turned up (not muted)
• Check that speakers/headphones are properly connected
• If using headphones, verify left/right channels match correctly
• Try adjusting the volume slider in your operating system
• Test with different audio output devices if available

How it works:

This test detects key presses in real-time and displays them as colored badges. Green badges indicate working keys, while red badges with warnings indicate stuck or repeating keys.

Troubleshooting:

• Try cleaning your keyboard if keys feel sticky or unresponsive
• Test each key individually to identify specific problem keys
• If keys repeat rapidly (red warning), they may be physically stuck
• On laptops, ensure no external keyboard is conflicting

How it works:

This test listens for mouse click events and scroll wheel movements. Click each circle to test left, right, and middle buttons. Scroll anywhere on the card to test the scroll wheel.

Troubleshooting:

• Clean your mouse sensor and buttons if clicks don't register
• Try a different surface if using an optical mouse
• Check mouse battery if using a wireless mouse
• Middle click often requires pressing the scroll wheel itself
• Right-click is disabled on this test to prevent context menus
